A few years ago, Brandon and Julia Nelson asked whether Redeemer had ever considered planting a church in north Jefferson County, something they and others had been praying toward. They didn’t know it yet, but the Lord would use them to answer their own prayers. That prayer became @trinitynorthjefferson, which first gathered in September 2024. This past Sunday marked a significant milestone as Trinity ordained its first elders and instituted its own Covenant Membership. After two years of walking alongside them, we’re grateful to see Trinity step forward as its own church family and celebrate the way God continues to build His church across Birmingham. Join us in praying for Trinity and for elders Brandon Nelson, Matt Tootle, and Caleb Cleveland as they shepherd this new covenant family. May Trinity faithfully proclaim the good news of Jesus in north Jefferson County and to the ends of the earth.
