Many unreached places face intense persecution––where believers meet in secret, owning a Bible is a crime, and sharing the gospel with anyone, even a family member or friend, can turn into a death sentence. Countries like Iran, Afghanistan, and North Korea. And then, there’s Japan. In Japan, people are free to be Christians. They can own a Bible. Churches can gather openly without fear. And yet, the Japanese are the second-largest unreached people group in the world. It’s the largest open country still unreached by the gospel. Less than 2% of the population identifies as Christian. So, why is Japan still so unreached? Why has the gospel struggled to take root there? And if Japan has been called a missionary graveyard, why would a family from Alabama move there? Listen now on all platforms to hear Aaron & Halley Hutchens’ story.
