Redeemer Community Church

At the close of Trinity Fellowship's one-year anniversary service this past Sunday, the congregation joined their voices together in a familiar way—the Doxology. If you closed your eyes, you might have been fooled into thinking you were at Redeemer, or at our other sister church, Grace Fellowship. There is something beautiful in the simple yet profound reminder that wherever the church is gathered, we are united in worship of the same God. The anniversary was not only a celebration of what God has done over the past year but also a vivid reminder of prayers answered. Years ago, members of Redeemer had explicitly prayed for a gospel-preaching church to be planted in northern Jefferson County. Seeing Trinity Fellowship flourishing now is a testimony to God's faithfulness in answering those prayers and advancing the Gospel. For Brandon Nelson, Trinity's Lead Pastor, this milestone has been a testimony to Christ's promise: "When Trinity Fellowship began just over a year ago, I felt like the proverbial dog that finally caught the car—now what? How do you start a church? How do you establish a church that will endure over the long haul? Time and time again, however, I've been reminded of Jesus' unfailing promise: “I will build my church.” The church belongs to Jesus, and He promised to build it. Church planting is simply an opportunity to follow Him and join in the work He is already doing." Trinity Fellowship’s story is not ultimately about strategies, facilities, or plans. It is about Christ, who is building his church. And as long as his people lift their voices in praise, the song of God’s goodness will continue to be heard—in Avondale at Redeemer, in Homewood at Grace, in northern Jefferson County at Trinity, and beyond.
